Question of the Day ??

I used a phrase in my sermon this week and again in today's Thought of the Day that needs to be defined. In my Thought (below) I wrote that Jesus better not catch us "dilly-dallying" around. I've always understood this to mean wasting time, but my secretary has informed me that she thought it meant to run around on your spouse.

Which is it? Or does it mean something else all together?

My definition of "dilly-dallying" would be same as yours. I have never heard of it to be cheating on a spouse...but ya better not be doing that either!

I guess it could be depending on where your mind is.

dilly-dally probably became a slang usage of the word "dalliance" which can mean either wasting your time or flirty behavior.
