Sin. Always has been the essential human problem, and will be until the end.
Love of God and Love of Neighbor. ALL the Laws and the Prophets hang on these two and they have probably been the most problematic thing for any nation in existence to this day.

And by the way, it really takes guts to take a dig at me and not even leave a name. Ha ha!!
To the rest of you, I agree with all. I think John sums it up with sin. Not loving our neighbor or God and having greed would definitely fall into the category of sin.
