Thought of the Day !!

As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owner, except to feast his eyes on them?
Ecclesiastes 5:11

As the old saying goes, you can't take it with you. After a certain point, having more money doesn't do you much good. Once your needs are satisfied, consider what good you can do with the rest. Don't become consumed by wanting more than you need. This will only lead you down a road of sin that the devil has paved before you. This roads leads away from God and His Love.

Remember, Jesus told us that we could only have one master. We will wind up loving one and hating the other. Which would you rather love; God or wealth? Which would you rather hate? With both come the desire and craving for more. With God comes eternal riches. With wealth comes temporary possessions that can be taken away at any time either by death, IRS, a poor market, theft, etc. So which will you choose?

In the love of Christ,
greg

I'll have to admit, Greg, that I had my faith in the use of wealth a bit restored last week when a member walked into my office and said, "I just sold some property. I've got enough money to get by. Take this and send it to your missionary in Mongolia so she can build showers for thsoe children. That's using wealth for the right reason.

Amen. And that's not having wealth be a master either.
