But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Here there is no conflict with the law.

Lately I've gotten on this fruit and vegetable kick. It happens this time every year as gardens start producing tomatoes and corn and squash, as well as other fine foods. I don't have a garden myself, but have been brought a tomato or two. I give thanks to those who share their fruits.
The fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control are planted in those who have Jesus in them by the power of the Holy Spirit. It's a garden that we can all tend if we only will. And the God who created and grows the garden in you will give you thanks for sharing your fruits with others.
