Thought / Question of the day !!

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and steady, always enthusiastic about the Lord's work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)

What are you doing for the Lord today? And with how much enthusiasm are you doing it?

In the love of Christ,
greg

Greg,
Thanks for this thought/question of the day this morning. When I first read it I thought that the only thing I'd be doing for Our Lord today was having a morning devotional and keeping myself in prayer throughout the day as much as possible.

After our devotional my pastor called and asked when I might be available to go and minister to a certain member of the community. I thought back to your email - this post - and said "first thing this morning". I probably wouldn't have been so motivated had I not been inspired by this post, as I've not been so moved until today.

I'm self employed and my presence at the job is required most of the time. It isn't easy to break away for anything, including ministering to someone (they've almost kicked me out of the Kiwanis club because I can't get to the lunch time meetings due to work). But today, I'm going to be doing for The Lord, and doing so with enthusiasm.

Again, thank you for this inspiration.

bro marty - thank you. I read this yesterday at a time when I found out that two of my members had decided to go to another church. Your comments lifted my spirits and helped me be motivated as well. It's great how we lift one another up without even knowing it at times. God bless.

danny - good luck on your bone marrow drive. I know that's what truly motivates and enthuses you. May God bless the drive and you too.

Great thought, Greg. I don't think we ever can "do" enough. The danger comes from thinking that we are doing or have done enough.
