Question of the Day ??

In America the top two Protestant denominations in numbers are 1-Southern Baptist and 2-United Methodist. I'm not sure about the Baptists, but I know us Methodists have been declining for a long while. I also know that mainline churches have been in decline. With this in mind, what do you believe the future will look like for denominations? Will there be a revival in mainline denominations? Will Non-denomination churches continue to grow until they overtake the mainline ones? Will the Christian population even belong to churches in 10-20 years? What do you think?

I think that you are going to see lots of loosely affiliated nitch providers. UMC is vertically integrated, SBC is (supposed) to be horizontally integrated. Some mix where you might even have some sub-denominations with affiliations to the whole for things like programming, etc.
