Thought of the Day !!

Thursday's Thought comes on Wednesday evening because I will be leaving town to work a spiritual retreat (Chrysalis Walk) in Grenada, MS tomorrow. There will be no devotional on Friday. I will also be out of town next Thursday and Friday for a leadership conference in Tupelo. After that, things should be back to normal. Please pray for those who will be attending the walk this weekend. I also ask that you pray for me.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27

Some people see religion as something they do on Sunday mornings. Others see it as a topic not to be discussed, along with politics. Others see it in terms of denominational beliefs. But James tells us that true religion means caring for those in need and keeping ourselves from getting caught up in our secular activities while forgetting the things of God.
