Thought of the Day !!

They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity
Acts 2:46 (NLT)

The Early Church was dedicated to worship. They didn’t come when they felt like it. They met together daily at the Temple to worship. Notice that the Bible says daily and not weekly. Today it’s hard enough to get some people to come two weeks in a row, much less daily to worship God.

They met at the Temple because they were Jewish. The Temple was not only the religious center for the Jews, it was also the center of the whole Jewish life. People were taught there, business was transacted there, beggars begged there. And so the early believers dedicated themselves to going there daily to talk about, learn about and worship Christ Jesus.

Coming together for worship was evidently very important to these first believers. Just how important is it for you in your own life?

In the love of Christ,
greg
