I like The Message by Eugene Peterson...The New Living Translation...The New Revised Standard Version...why, you ask, well, mainly they are written in English, easy to understand English...thanks for the question...have a God-filled Day...
Probably Jehoshaphat. Look at 2 Chr 20. Man, you could make like two dozen sermons from that chapter!
He's a flawed man, but he trusts in the Lord first. I think that he's marvy.
