O Come All Ye Faithful.

My daughter played Gladys Herdman in the play "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" when she was six. Noone told me that she would be singing a solo. At the end of the play Gladys (who, in the play, was one of the meanest kids in the community)sang "O Come All Ye Faithful" accapella. Before it was over I was blubbering like a baby. The best solo I had ever heard up to that time.

My daughter is now 12 and has sung many solos since. She is now rehearsing the part of Annie in the local Arts Council production of "Annie." No doubt I'll need a tissue or two for that one, too.

Thanks Tony. What a truly wonderful story...and I'm sure a wonderfully exciting experience for you every time your little one sings.

Silent Night, at my previous church the music minister would sing it in German every year. Very moving.

Silent Night in German...Cool!

Every year I make sure someone sings O Holy Night. I love that song to be sung accapello during an Evening Service such as Christmas Eve.

But I still stick to my fav being Do You Hear What I Hear.
