Discernment: I can pick up on heresy or otherwise wrong thinking pretty quickly.
Teaching: I'm a good Bible study leader.
Wounding: I've had so many failures and defeats in my life -- some of which I caused -- that I can minister to people in a way that the hypersuccessful cannot.
I believe mine to be service. I don't mind getting my hands dirty and doing real ministry with people.
Then comes pastoral care in a crisis situation.
Finally comes preaching. I may not be the best, but my preaching is simple (I'm a simple person) and from the heart. I also put a lot of time and effort into preparation. Of course that is every week but this week. I'm home sick and only have two days now to prepare a sermon. Some can do that, but it takes a whole lot of the Holy Spirit and a whole lot of Tums for me to do it that way.
