Question of the Day ??

Who believes that canvassing neighborhoods, going door to door and inviting people to church will increase your church attendance?

Do you thing anyone would answer the door?

I heard of a United Methodist Men's group who went door to door in the neighborhood surrounding the church and asked for prayer requests. No hard sell or plea for a visit just a simple: "We're having prayer meeting tommorow evening and would like to know if you have any needs that we can lift up to the Lord." I don't know if it helped attendance, but it got to where the people in the neighborhood began to seek them out to tell them of their prayer requests instead of waiting for them to come ask.

Don't know if the going door to door is effective, but it would help if folks would just invite someone.

Tony, like the prayer request idea.

Is increased attendance why we do it?
