Question of the day ??

What's worse, a lazy pastor or a non-caring congregation?

I believe that a non-caring congregation (or I should say non caring Christians in general, since not all Christians are active congregants) are more detrimental to the Kingdom. A lazy pastor is one person. If he is moved into a heathy, vital, Church, he/she will either have to step up or the pastor won't be there for long.

On the other hand, a non caring congregation will put up with a lazy pastor and they will wear down and refuse to work with a hard working one.

I single lazy pastor is a single lazy excuse of a Christian. A non caring congregation is a whole group of non caring Christians that carries that negative trait to a much greater sphere of negative influence.

I agree with keith. The church is more than the pastor. A lazy pastor is more likely the symptom of a non-caring congregation than the cause of it.
