Question of the Day ??
You're probably familiar with the phrase "Heaven on Earth". If you were to say that something or some place was "Heaven on Earth", what or where would it be?
Thoughts on GOD and TRUTH (found somewhere in the middle of ultra-conservatism and flaming liberalism)

I'll start. My church UMW has been making Chocolate covered Easter Eggs every year since the 80's as a fundraiser. This is my first Easter here and so my first experience with watching, helping and tasting these little pieces of Heaven on Earth. The Peanut butter covered with chocolate is the bomb.
There's a hilltop about a mile from our house where when standing there, looking around for miles, it always seems like heaven on earth. I find myself talking with God as if he were my best friend, standing right next to me. I don't know how much closer I can get than that.
Brother Marty - sounds like a wonderful place
Danny - sounds like my kind of place - :)
i have a specific rock, on a large bluff that i like to sit on.. it's quiet and most folks don't go to that side of the bluff.
that's a pretty special spot for me
There is a special spot in the Great Smoky Mointains National Park that is a place of rest and relaxation for me.
Neyland Stadium on the banks of the Tennessee River in Knoxville, Tennessee on the third Saturday in October with 100,000+ orange clad fans watching UT beat the snot out of Allerbammer.
Hey Wayne, where might'n that be. I plan on heading up there for vacation.
Our farm sits of some very high ground. I go out for walks, just to take in the view. Would love to build my dream house smack-dab in the middle of our ridge. But for some strange reason, my husband thinks it should stay a corn field! lol
And you should consider sending samples of those Easter eggs to all your faithful blog readers!
I tell you what DBMom, you come down here and I'll give you half a dozen. Anyway, couldn't trust them to be shipped. They'd melt.
Oh sure...now you tell me! My daughter drove right past your place last weekend! lol
Greg,
There is a special spot on the trail to the Chimney Tops where I feel like I'm literally at the top of the world. We (wife and I) like to get away (just the 2 of us) to a bed and breakfast off the beaten path between Sevierville and Pigeon Forge called the Blue Mountain Mist. They have both cabins for 2 and rooms in the inn, very peaceful and relaxing.

Thanks Wayne. We're staying in a place called Afternoon Delight in the Gnatty Branch Village between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The details can be found at http://www.amazinghillbillyhideaways.com/afternoon_delight.htm
