Thought of the Day !!

If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:31b (NLT)

Have you ever been down and thought that everything just wasn't going the way it should? Have you ever had someone turn on you or a friend betray you? Have you ever wished you could just stay in bed because you knew that there was something you had to do today that was going to be very unpleasant and most likely would get someone else mad?

Okay, maybe you haven't experienced these things. Maybe I'm the only one. But there are times in all of our lives when we will be persecuted in some way, big or small. Or at least that's what Jesus told us. He even went as far as proclaiming that those who are persecuted in His name would be blessed. The NLT puts it that if we are persecuted for "doing right" we will be blessed (Matthew 5:10).

So do you feel blessed when you're being persecuted, ridiculed, put down, looked down upon or talked about behind your back? Probably not. But the blessing comes in the fact that we're not alone in this. If we are trying to do what is right in God's eyes, we will be blessed with His continual presence. And that means all of us. If God is for us people who've accepted Christ as our Savior (and He is) then who can really stand against us?

Go into a world that is sometimes easy and sometimes hard, and go with the knowledge that God is with you and that no one can conquer you as long as you have God on your side. Just make sure it is God's will you are living in and not your own and you will be fine.
