Thought of the Day !!

O LORD, I am your servant;
  yes, I am your servant, born into your household;
  you have freed me from my chains.
                                 Psalm 116:16 (NLT)

Chains bind us.  Mere human strength cannot break them.  But God can.  Metal chains can physically bind us.  But there are also those invisible things in our lives that hold us down and keep us from living a life of freedom. 

We can struggle with things like addiction, low self-esteem and depression, among other chains that the devil uses.  But we cannot defeat these things on our own.  The Psalmist understands that it is God who frees us. 

So what chains might have you tied up in bondage?  Are you struggling with something that just seems to be hopeless, that you feel helpless against?  If so, know that the God that freed the Israelites, who freed David, who freed us from our sins through Christ,  can also free you from your chains here on earth.
