preach (as long as he wasn't a jerk). bad preaching makes worship painful! however, if preaching is to be heard by people, they must be convinced that the preacher really cares for them.
Either preach or visit. People think that good preaching is most important to them, but I suspect visiting is where it really matters.
Teach Bible Study...I think that this is where we really need to work in the church. I see so many persons lacking even a basic grasp of the well-known stories of the bible much less seeking to interalize its lessons.
Hi Greg...preach...this is the opportunity to reach the most people in one setting with the Grace of the Gospel...God offers intimate closeness through the outstretched hand of our neighbors in need...so, our preaching of grace lived out through service seems to me to be the most important aspect of ministry...I thank God for this privilege and pray for faithfulness and humility...thanks for the question...have a day living out what we preach...Mike Sahler.
I would choose "inspire people to be involved in missions." Let's face it, that many younger people are very interested in spiritual things, even in Jesus, but they aren't coming to our worship services because they no longer trust the "institutional church." We need to teach people to go out in mission, and make friends with people where they are, in the culture and context in which they live . . . and witness the positive consequences of being a follower of Christ.
Wide variety of answers !! I like that. Of course you all got the answer wrong. It's fish!
Fishers of people !!!
Ha ha. I can't believe anyone didn't get that one. Have a blessed day fellow fisher-people.
I'd disciple others -
as for our current pastor - he doesn't fit into your neat box, I'm afraid, and is trying to find a vision for our church and help us step into it. I think. fishing (evangelism) is a partof that - but a bit obscure right now I think
D. Inspire people to be involved in missions.
