I never used to think much about retiring. I turn 48 tomorrow and while I know it is still a long time away, I have begun to dream a little. My dream is to run a retreat center and provide spiritual direction to folks. And do some preaching when invited. A key component of my retirement dream is no Administrative Board meetings to attend.
My Uncle and Aunt are both retired UMC clergy and they don't miss committee meetings one single bit.
My wife wants to buy an RV and tour the country. I want to move to the country and raise a garden. So we'll probably spend retirement in marriage counseling.

I just hope I live long enough to spend all the money I am saving for retirement :)
Buy a cabin in the woods outside of Ft. Payne, Alabama.

Maybe if you do travel, Amanda can keep your dogs.
Greg,
After the Baby Boomers go through, our generation of Americans will NEVER be able to retire. We will work til we are dead.
Mark makes me laugh
