To eradicate one sin would probably not make a significant dent in the sinfulness of this world. I would probably choose sin with sexual deviancy as a base theme whether it be child porn, rape of elderly women, gay bath houses, and the like.
My vote is definately Pride. (and that was my thought before I saw Greg's thought)
Pride is the root cause off all sin IMHO. Some modern theologians think they are arcaic, but I like the list of the Seven Deadly Sins. The top of that list is Pride.
It was pride that turned Lucifer into Satan. It is mans pride that leads to every other sin that there is.
Selfishness. Getting rid of selfishness would get rid of a whole lot of other sins, wouldn't it? People would start looking at and helping others and also start focussing on what (or who) is most important.

Definately terrorism... no wait, abortion but perhaps terrorism. I can't make up my mind. Although liberalism would also be on my list :-)
