There is nothing that you have done, can do, or will do that God cannot forgive you of. He knows these things already and is ready and willing to forget all about them. All you have to do is talk to Him. He's listening.

Confession. It's so rare that people actually delve into their deepest, darkest places, and confess the things that draw them there.
Confession is so very liberating! Remembering that God knows what we do even before we confess it to Him...is such a comfort. He knows! He knows! He knows! Sadly, however, we think that unless we confess it He won't know.
Confession isn't for the benefit of Our Lord...it's for our benefit. Once we confess, we grow and experience liberation. Upon confession, we can commune with the Holy Spirit, free of the shackles of our eartly existence. Confession...(as someone once put is) is good for the soul.
