What do you believe divides Christians more than anything else?

Denominationalism. Duh...guess that's self-evident. But really, too many people put way too much stock in the denomination in which they were raised, rather than what being a Christian is all about.
I'm a Methodist, but could easily worship with Baptists, Catholics, or any other denomination that would be willing to let me worship with them. But when they tell me I can't share in communion with them cuz I'm not in their fold...that's when I see the things that divide Christians.

Marty hit the nail square on the head. This is what divides the universal "body of Christ" the most.

Viva la difference!!! God Himself is the author and creator of diversity! Far from bemoaning it, we should celebrate it! Simply put, we are not the same because we are different and never can be the same. Thank God He didn't make us the same! Thank God He doesn't want us to be the same! And thank God that we are at our best when we honor and live out His intention for us by being ourselves!
The Impressionist were not like their predecessors. Yet all who came before were not all rank amateurs. To some of that era the work of the Impressionist was simply the equivalent of painting "Elvis on velvet." Yet their work was not invalidated by such a estimate, regardless of its motivation. Today there are those who can not accept that photography can ever be considered "art." But again that does not invalidate the work of Adams and all those who like him use capture our imagination as they interpret life through a lense.
That we are different is not a denial of Christ but an affirmation of God's intent in creation of humanity and the Church. We are not required to be of the same mind, voice, world view to be faithful to Christ. We are faithful to Christ as we submit to Him our minds, our voice and our hopes and dreams for the world. Anything else would be another cold heartless sin against God and against humanity.
I for one will not accept an idealized uniformity masquerading as unity. I do not believe that I have to agree with one and all of God's people in order to be faithful to the Lord. Unless someone can by more than mere prooftext demonstrate to me that this is wrong, I will continue to honor the Almight by thinking for myself. In this I am not alone. And if the result of this is that there are many denominations rather thna a few or even one, fine! God did not create us the same. He made us different. I can not see any good in our denying His intention in creation. Sincerely. OOM.

Thanks oneofmany. I wasn't thinking in those terms when I posed the question. I can see you're passionate about diversity. I was thinking more along the lines of what divides, or what people will allow to pit them against others and vice versa. What is it that makes us not get along?
