Thought of the Day !!
Dear brothers and sisters, I urge you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to join in my struggle by praying to God for me. Do this because of your love for me, given to you by the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:30 (NLT)
Just like Paul, I am always appreciative of your prayers. But Paul is asking for his readers to join in his "struggle" by praying for him. Ministry is the most awesome thing I can think of to do for a living. I love my calling because it's a special privilege that God has given me. But it's also a daily struggle, whether it be putting our fires, fending off the devil, battling complacency or striving for something better for those I minister to.
Join the struggle today for those in ministry at your churches, in your neighborhoods and wherever God's people are called to go. Pray for strength against temptation and peace of mind in carrying out God's will. Pray for me. Pray for our mission team going to Nicaragua from Gibson next week. Pray for your own pastor if you don't attend Gibson. Pray for your own ministry wherever it might be. Join the struggle by fighting the spiritual forces of evil with God's Word and by joining the Holy Spirit in prayer. And may God bless you in the battle.
In the love of Christ,
greg
Today is the last Thought of the Day for a couple of weeks. I will be in Nicaragua next week and in West Tennessee the week after. While in Nicaragua I will have the privilege of teaching local pastors how to come up with simple sermons and bible studies. While in West Tennessee I will be conducting a three day faith rally with the hopes of restoring the true nature of Christian faith to those who may have lost what they once had (or never had before). God brought this devotion to my mind today, and I understand why as I ask you to struggle with me as I attempt to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in two different areas of the world in two totally different ways. Love ya. Will be checking back in as soon as I can.

Where in Nicaragua are you going to be? Hope you make it to the high country, it is so beautiful in the mountains and the people are so friendly. Have a blessed time!
Flew into Managua...I believe the only airport. Went to Nicinomo to spend the first night and then to the department of Chinendaga in a rural area to work with pastors that have no training whatsoever. One of the guys couldn't even read. We were not in the high country. We were in northwest part near the Pacific Ocean and not too far from Honduras. The people were just awesome where we were too. Thanks. Have a blessed time yourself. Ours certainly was.
