John - I know I said interpret anyway you want...but 42? Splain, will ya?

QG - Today must be a bad day, but as you will probably read this on another day (if at all) maybe the answer, and the day will be better.

Anonymous - who are you anyway? But yes, I agree about the pillow.

Danny - Say what?

I'm with you duggie. Whoa!

As for me, the grass is always greener on the other side.

That is, of course, unless it's dead over there. Hmm?

The question is "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?"

It's a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference, BTW.

An ancient race programmed a computer to answer the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything. They poured the resources of their civilization into this grand philosophical endeavor. The computer, named Deep Thought, spent a million years studying and concluded that the answer was "42."

This rather stupefied the ancients, who expected something a bit more comprehensible. The problem was that they did not say what the actual question is. So they built another larger, more powerful computer to discover what the Question was.

This computer was enormous and was called "Earth." Big as a planet. Anyway, before it could complete its calculations, the Earth was demolished by a construction crew to make room for a hyperspace bypass route.

Eventually, out of bits of the Earth, some characters were able to discern the question that the Earth was about to state immediately before its destruction. The Ultimate Question to Life, the Universe, and Everything was "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?"

Musta been a bug in the software.

In other news, Methoblogger Dave Warnock named his blog after this Hitchhiker reference.
