Question of the day ??

If you have no kids or youth in your church, what's the first thing you do to try to pull them in?

Agitate until the contemporary worship service is eliminated. Also, cut the salary of the youth pastor. No one should be paid to just play around with the kids on Wednesday evening. Anyone can do that.

You're hilarious John (spoken in a sarcastic tone of course).

We have a lot of families with young children active in our church. In fact, sometimes the service is over taken my the dull roar of the little ones of the congregation.

I think the key to young people in church is: families in church. I dont have any suggestions, but good luck.

Linda :o)

an awesome VBS cant hurt!

start a group of folks who would gather to pray about the youth of the area and how & why the church can and should respond.

if that doesn't work.. follow john's sage advice

Good ideas. Glad none of them revolve around change the message!

I heard a good rule of thumb the other day: Whatever you do to attract them, you'll need to keep doing to keep them.

One possible idea: Put up a large sign that says, "Come for the free babysitting, stay for the salvation!" :-)
