Question of the Day ??

John the Methodist had a good question on his blog that I was going to wait to ask. But since he's already begun the discussion over there, I ask it as well.

Should Christians celebrate Halloween?

I think the history of Halloween has been overshadowed by candy and jack-o-lanterns. Its just fun for kids now. Our Sunday school is even having the kids wear their costumes on the 29th.

i think we should definitely celebrate halloween. i know there is one church in the area that embraces halloween so much that they are known as the halloween church in the area. the pastor goes to great extremes in dressing up in a vampire costume and the congregation brings in a lot of caskets and they sleep in them at the church- kind of like a lock-in- on all hallows eve as a way to bring in all saints day.
