A Question about Bibles

Has anyone used the Student's Life Application Bible before? I am about to teach confirmation with some kids about 10 years old and want to buy each a bible so we will be working out of the same one. I have always used a NIV Teen Bible, but I want to use the NLT version because of its readability for younger folks. Any suggestions?

You'll think I'm nuts, but I was raised in my local UMC on the KJV. To me, it is simple, there are usually fewer words to the verse than the newer versions, and I think its simplicity is easier for learning. All of the classical verses we remember by heart and learned as children and still remember to this day are in KJV. The creation story, the 10 commandments, the 23rd Psalm, the Beatitudes, the Lords Prayer, John 3:16. 1 Cor 13, Hebrews chapter 11. We learned them all in KJV.

Besides, you'll be doing them a favor in the long run.
