Question of the day ??
Do you believe that Jesus will come back in our lifetime (say within the next 40-50 years)?
I know...I know...Nobody knows the day or hour. I'm just curious to see who believes as Paul believed when he lived...that Jesus was coming very soon. So how bout it? What'cha thunk?

It certainly seems to be a possibility: that "wars and rumors of wars" thing seems to be more true than ever. But at the same time there are those who were totally convinced that THE time had come, and were obviously wrong.
I believe that Paul and the early Christians misunderstood the concept of "soon" in this regard. In comparison to eternity, soon could be next week... or 10000 years from now.
I think it is certainly possible that Jesus will return "soon" but we ought to be living and loving like it will happen tomorrow.

I'll agree with those who will say that the signs foretold in the Bible of when Jesus would return can be found in every century since the ascention. But, the difference between then and now is that all of the signs appear to be happening at once whereas in the past, you might have one thing but not something else.
I also agree with Art, we are told by Christ, himself in several of his parables to live like it will happen at any moment.
