Question of the day ??

What has been your favorite book that you've read this year? (If you read both fiction and non-fiction you can list one of each.)

** I have moved the Bloggy Awards up so that they didn't disappear into my archives. They are under today's "Thought of the Day !!". Please cast your ballot for your favorite blogs and bloggers of 2006. We have till the end of January.

This past year or within the past 16 days of January?

Good ole John. You always catch me when I haven't made myself clear.

Seeing as how I'm a slow reader and haven't finished any in the last 16 days, I will assume that not many have finished more than one or two.

So lets say from Jan 1 2006 to present.

Good catch!

I think the only book I read last year was "Its Not About Me" by Max Lucado. Reading is a luxury, I will do more when I retire.

:o)

Gav - Never seen that one. Is it worth me picking up? And what exactly is it about in a nutshell?

DBMom - I liked that book. Used part of it as an illustration in a couple sermons. For me reading is not a luxury, but a MUST! Good thing I enjoy reading. :)

I haven't read any books this year. That should change by next week.

The Historian was excellent, as were books of essays by Barbara Kingsolver, and Not Buying It by Judith Levine.

"Fresh Wind Fresh Fire" by Jim Cymbala. His testimony about the power of praying the the Holy Spirit took a congregation of 20 to 6500. It's a real page turner!
