I should have never read this question. I hope I can be brief. As Albert Einstien is purported to have said: If you believe in miracles, you'll see them everywhere, if you don't believe, you'll never see one." (or words to that effect). I believe. In November we had a healing service at our church and I witnessed two miracles. One woman was overwhelmed by guilt about her sister's death as a result of her telling the medical authorities to take her off of life support. Her guilt vanished during the service. Another woman could hardly walk and was lamenting her physical condition. She now walks without a cane and is full of cheer. Here's another: Last summer a teenager who'd been suffereing from a chronically detached kneecap was prayed over and her knee is healed and she's currently the fastest swimmer on her high school swim team. But for me, the greatest miracle I've witnessed is the love of Christ at work in my undeserving life.
Thank you Marty. And just for the record...I'm glad you did read. Even though I asked for the last miracle, any number of miraculous events is fine. I especially like your last one.
My son and I walking away from our accident last month.
The former chief-of-police of my small town is a member of the same church as me. He got all teary when he saw Aaron and me at church the next week. (and believe me this is a tough guy, emotional isn't his norm!) He hugged me (another shocker) and told me how lucky we were. He told me he had seen a lot of accidents in his 40+ years of being a police officer; vehicles with much less damage, where no one got out alive.
I also believe it was a miracle I hit no one else when I lost contol on the ice that morning, I crossed the center line. And that no one else lost control and hit us after we crashed.
