Actually, you are both right. But I was realling thinking along the lines of a literal sense. Would you rather go to the cross and be crucified...ouch. Or would you rather travel with Paul doing a wonderful ministry while being jailed and beaten and whipped and so on.
It was just something to ponder. Sorry it was confusing. But it could have led to a good theological debate too I guess.

I think that we have to do both. We don't get to choose between the two.
